MBT Newest Location In Columbia

Posted in area newspapers:

Robert Darr, President of Martinsburg Bank and Trust announces the opening of a new branch office in Columbia, Mo. The Columbia bank, which is located in the Nifong Shopping Center next to Gerbes, is the eighth bank location for Martinsburg Bank and Trust whose home office is in Mexico, Mo.

"With the success of our Centralia and Hallsville markets Columbia seemed like a natural progression for us. Many of our existing customers work in Columbia and they've been asking about a Columbia branch for their convenience. We listened to them and here we are" said Darr.

The new MBT Financial Services office of Martinsburg Bank and Trust offers full service banking and shares office space with Hillebrand Insurance Agency which the bank successfully partnered with in 2005. Independent agents offer auto, home, health, life and commercial insurance. Banking insurance and securities make up the core base of MBT Financial Services

Martinsburg Bank and Trust moved into the building at 205 E. Nifong Blvd which previously housed another financial institution. So other than phone connections and computer set up there was not a lot of renovations involved in getting the building ready. Located at the busy intersection of Nifong and Providence, the corner location is a high traffic area.

Martinsburg Bank and Trust is a community bank that has been building financial relationships since 1893. The first bank was opened in Martinsburg, Mo. but has grown to include offices in Mexico, Wellsville, Montgomery City, Centralia, Hallsville and Vandalia.

Come check out the newest location at 205 East Nifong Blvd, next to Gerbes. Our current hours of operation are 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday and 9:00am - 12:00pm on Saturday.

MBT NOW HAS E-statements

If you use and love online banking, then e-statements are for you!  Notices that your e-statements are available will be sent to your email on the account’s cycle date.  If you currently receive statements around the middle of the month, your e-statements will come directly to you on that date each month. Your statements can then be downloaded into Quicken or saved in a file that you can access all year long.  No more asking for back statements or imaged items.  You will have access to them at your fingertips!

Signing up is easy!  Go to our website www.martinsburgbank.com and enter your customer number and password to begin internet banking.  Then, go to the top of the page and click on “user’s options”, then “online statement options”.  From this screen you can choose whether to continue with paper statements or receive e-statements.  The second option will let you choose if you would like an e-mail notice letting you know your e-statements are available.  You click and choose the way you want to bank!

E-statements reduce postage costs, paper handling and storage. E-statements will send your statements in a consistent and timely manner.  No more waiting for the Postal Service.  Your e-statements can then be saved to a file that you can access at your leisure or download your statement into a Quicken program for easy reference.

Also, a new feature to our on-line program is the ability to view the checks you have written as well as the items that make up your deposits.  For example:  If you deposited three checks, you will be able to view each of those checks that make up your deposit. You can also check endorsements and verify the check amount.

Each of these new enhancements have been added because of you, our customer.  When you offer suggestions…Martinsburg Bank and Trust listens.  We know you want to bank on your time…your way!  Please let us know what else we can do for you!
